Why Jesus Is My King
Magnified Words In His Book
Mat 1:1 The bookof the generation of Jesus Christ,
- God gave us words written in books.
- Isaiah 35:16 says “seek ye out the book of the LORD”.
- God is a “book” man. He is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week for questions about his book.
- He has all the answers. He is the only one worthy to open the “sealed book” in Revelation 5.
- He is the only one who can open your understanding to his book.
- He thinks so much of his book that he places it above his Name.
Psa 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
- We know Jesus Christ is king because of the sure words he laid out in his book.
- “The book” in verse 1 is the gospel of Matthew but I’m also referring to all 66 books.
- If your going to know Jesus Christ than your going to have to “hit the books.”
- The Judgment Seat Of Christ is your FINAL EXAM. Have you “studied to shew thyself approved unto God?”(2 Timothy 2:15)
- “The King” thought enough of you to leave you with 66 books to prepare. It is a “HIStory book”. Because it is HIS STORY. Some people call it a “HYMN book” because it is all about HIM.
- One of his favorite sayings is “have ye not read?”.
- He is my king because of the words he left for me in a book. These words were picked out of billions of other words.
Joh 21:25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
- Out of everything that Jesus did the words in the King James Bible is what was chosen to be wrote down and preserved.
- This shows that it is about every single word.
- Since JESUS knew he was King, he probably wrote himself a copy…in a book.
Deu 17:18 And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites:
- If it wasn’t for his Book, I wouldn’t know he is a King. For this reason we can also magnify the words.
Mat 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ,
- Compare this with Genesis 5 where it gives you “the book of the generation of Adam”. You’ll find that it says the phrase “and he died” over and over again. The book of the generation of Jesus Christ doesn’t use the words death or died. It uses the word “begat”. Jesus Christ BRINGS LIFE. He is the author of life. Adam only brought death. So in the book of the Generation of Jesus Christ the key phrase is “begat”.
1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man(which was ADAM) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Rom 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
Rom 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
- The first Adam brought death. The last Adam brings life
He is my King because His book makes it plain who He is. Also because…
Matthew’s Genealogy Proves It
Mat 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
- Obviously David is the great, great, great, great….grandfather of the man Christ Jesus. So, you can use the word “son” for a grandson, son-in-law, or even adopted son.
- In the flesh he is “the son of David”. In the spirit he is David’s LORD!
Mat 22:42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David.
Mat 22:43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying
- To manifest Himself in the flesh he was “made of the seed of David”.
Rom 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
But He…
Rom 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
Rom 9:4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;
Rom 9:5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
- David was promised that his throne would be forever! This is because Jesus Christ would be in the line of David.
2Sa 7:16 And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.
Psa 132:11 The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
Psa 132:12 If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.
Jer 23:5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
Jer 23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
Jer 33:15 In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
Jer 33:16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.
Luk 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
Luk 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
- Jesus is king and Matthew’s Genealogy Proves It!
Mat 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
- Jesus Christ is the promised seed of Genesis 3:15. Jesus Christ is the “seed of Abraham”.
- Matthew traces his lineage (through his adoptive father Joseph) all the way back to Abraham. Luke traces his lineage(through Mary) not only back to Abraham but also to Adam. (Luke 3:23-38.) He is the only person that can trace Himself all the way back to Adam. He wouldn’t need an “Ancestry.com”.
- Jesus Christ is in the right line on Joseph and Mary’s side.
- He is the only man QUALIFIED to be my king and on top of that HE IS OVER QUALIFIED!
Gal 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
- As a son of Abraham Jesus became heir to a covenant that promised a land grant, a seed, and eternal life by faith.
Rom 4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
- So Jesus will sit on the physical throne of David and in a literal land that was promised. He will rule with a rod of iron. (Revelation 19:15) He will reign as King over the whole world in Jerusalem.
- A believing remnant of Israel will go into that kingdom and inherit the land.
- Millions of saints who got into the body of Christ “by grace through faith” will go into that kingdom and reign with Him.
- We know Jesus is King, heir, and bringer of life because Matthew’s Genealogy Proves It.
Job 14:4 Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.
- The LORD is the only one who can do this. You will see when we go through this genealogy that the LORDS family line is “unclean”.
The men in this line are anything but perfect.
Mat 1:2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;
- Isaac means “laughter”. Remember Abraham & Sarah both laughed when the LORD told them they would have a child in their old age.
- Jacob means “supplanter”. Remember what a trickster Jacob was? Remember how he grabbed a hold of his twin brother Esau’s heel on the way out so that he could be born first?
- Now notice “Judas”. Obviously this isn’t Judas Iscariot. This is “Judah”. He is one of Jacob’s boys. You see Jacob had twelve sons that made up the twelve tribes. That is who is referred to when it says “and his brethren” at the end of verse 2.
- Your told back there in Genesis that the king would be of the tribe of Judah. Jesus Christ is of that tribe.
Gen 49:10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
- The sceptre was a staff that the king had. It was a sign of royal authority.
- Do you know which tribe Jesus Christ is from?
Rev 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
Take note that Matthew’s Genealogy also proves that the LORD will use imperfect people. Doesn’t that make you feel better?
Mat 1:3 And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;
- The names are spelled different than they are in the Old Testament. This is because when you translate from hebrew into english you get different spellings than you do when you translate from greek into english. The Old Testament was in Hebrew and translated into English. The New Testament was in Greek and translated into English.
- Judas(Judah) laid with “Thamar”(Tamar). The bad thing is that Judah was her father-in-law and Tamar was a harlot. She ended up having children by him. This would be Phares and Zara. (Genesis 38:24-30)
- Do you see how the LORD used sinners such as this and they are in the line of Jesus Christ. Don’t ever think God can’t use you because of something you have done in the past.
Mat 1:4 And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon;
Mat 1:5 And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;
- Rachab is “Rahab”. (Joshua 6:17) She was an Amorite and an harlot!
- Have you been involved in some type of sexual sin and don’t think God will use you? Think again.
- Rahab helped God’s people and her life was spared when she let down a scarlet thread from her window. This scarlet thread pictured the blood of JESUS CHRIST. Notice that God forgives and uses anyone.
- You find these other guys back in the book of Ruth. (Ruth 4:18-22)
- “Booz” is Ruth’s husband “Boaz”.
- “Ruth” was a gentile, she was a Moabite, they were the enemies of God. However Ruth ended up being a friend of God. Once again the LORD has imperfect people in his line.
- “Jesse” is David’s father. This means Ruth is great grandmother to David the king!
Mat 1:6 And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;
- Solomon is the son of David and Bathsheba. Bathsheba was “the wife of Urias”. (Uriah)
- Remember that David committed adultery with Bathsheba and had Uriah killed in the hottest battle.(2 Sam 11:15-17) That isn’t mentioned here as a reminder of the Lord’s forgiveness.
- Solomon was the wisest man who ever lived but his heart was turned away from the LORD because of his wives.
- Once again you see that nobody is perfect and God can use you no matter what you have done.
Mat 1:7 And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa;
- “Roboam” is “Rehoboam”. He took the throne after Solomon and ended up being the reason that the kingdom split into a Northern part and Southern part. Remember that he “forsook wise counsel”. He did what his young peers told him to do instead of listening to the old men.
- “Abia” is”Abijah” or “Abijam”.(2 Chronicles 13) He is the one that preached that hot sermon back there and got his army fired up. They ended up defeating Jeroboam and he never recovered fully after that. (2 Chronicles 13:20)
- “Asa” is the good king that defeated an army of about 1,000,000 Ethiopians. (2 Chronicles 14:9-11)
Mat 1:8 And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias;
- First thing to notice is that the LORD chose to omit three kings in the list. Three kings are missing between Joram and Ozias. You have Ahaziah(2 Chronicles 22:2), Joash(2 Chronicles 24:1) , and Amaziah (2 Chronicles 25:1) missing.
- “Josaphat” is “Jehoshaphat”. He is the good king of Judah that had a problem with compromising. He kept shacking up with Ahab and the kings of Israel. He joined alliance with them so much that he ends up being called “king of Israel”. (2 Chronicles 21:2)
- The LORD probably skipped 3 generations of kings because of the compromise and intermarriage into Ahab & Jezebel’s family by Jehoshaphat & Jehoram.
- “Joram” is “Jehoram”. He is the one that hooked up with Ahab’s daughter Athaliah. He married her and it further brought close ties between the Northern and Southern kingdoms. This wasn’t good.
- “Ozias” is “Uzziah” or “Azariah”. (2 Chron 26:3) He was also a king of Judah.
Mat 1:9 And Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz begat Ezekias;
- “Joatham” is “Jotham”. (2 Kings 15:32)
- “Achaz” is “Ahaz”. (2 Chronicles 28:1)
- “Ezekias” is Hezekiah. He was a good king in Judah that fell sick and prayed. The LORD ended up adding 15 years to his life. (2 Kings 20:6)
Mat 1:10 And Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and Amon begat Josias;
- “Manassess” is the wicked king of Judah “Manasseh”.(2 Chronicles 33:1) He was born to Hezekiah during those 15 extra years that the LORD added on to his Hezekiah’s life. Just think if Hezekiah would have went ahead and kicked the bucket than they wouldn’t have ever had wicked king Mannasseh.
- Who can bring such a clean thing as the LORD out of an unclean?! Only the LORD! Here is a list of some of the wicked things Manasseh did.
- He built altars for the host of heaven.
- He causes his children to pass through the fire.
- Observed times
- Used enchantments
- Used witchcrafts
- Dealt with familiar spirits.
- And wizards
- He made a carved image and set it in the house of the LORD.
- Manasseh ends up repenting and getting right with the LORD. Once again showing that the LORD is merciful and will take anyone. (2 Chronicles 33:13)
- The genealogy of JESUS CHRIST itself is a testimony of his grace, forgiveness, and ability to use anybody!
- “Amon”(2 Chronicles 33:21)
- “Josias” is “Josiah”. (2 Chronicles 33:25)
Mat 1:11 And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:
- “Jechonias” is “Jehoiachin” or “Jeconiah”. He was reining in Judah when Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, came in and carried them to Babylon. (2 Kings 24:8-17)
- Jeconiah was so bad that the LORD removed the “Je” from his name and called him Coniah.
Jer 22:28 Is this man Coniah a despised broken idol? is he a vessel wherein is no pleasure? wherefore are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they know not?
Jer 22:29 O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.
Jer 22:30 Thus saith the LORD, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah.
- This would mean that no man born in Jechonias line could prosper “sitting on the throne of David”. However don’t forget that Jesus Christ isn’t a physical descendant of Coniah. He is legal heir to the throne because of his adoptive father Joseph. Since Joseph isn’t his physical father the curse bypasses the LORD JESUS. This also proves the virgin birth. Without the virgin birth he would have had the curse on him.
- Remember also that Jesus’ earthly mother Mary is in the line of David.
- Luke 3 gives you the genealogy of Jesus Christ through Mary.
Luk 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,
- Notice how it calls Joseph the son of Heli in Luke 3:23 and calls him the son of Jacob in Matthew 1:16. This is because it is tracing the genealogy through The line of Joseph in Matthew and through the line of Mary in Luke. “Heli” would be Joseph’s father-in-law.
- This means either way you look at it Jesus Christ is in the line of David and either way you look at it he bypasses the curse on Coniah.
- Jesus Christ is so qualified to be my king that he is OVER QUALIFIED. You can’t get anymore perfect.
- Many times someone won’t give you a job if your over qualified. Jesus is over qualified and he’s the ONLY MAN FOR THE JOB!
- He’s our KING anyway you want to look at it.
Mat 1:12 And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel;
- Zerubbabel (1 Chronicles 3:19)
Mat 1:13 And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;
Mat 1:14 And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;
Mat 1:15 And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;
Mat 1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
- Notice that it says “so and so begat so and so” until you get down to verse 16.
- It simply calls Joseph the “husband of Mary and doesn’t say he “begat JESUS”.
- It says “husband of Mary of WHOM was born JESUS” and “whom” is singular. They both didn’t have a part in it.
- And don’t get it twisted. Mary isn’t the “mother of God”. Jesus Christ is God but he only used Mary to be born in the flesh. Jesus is fully God and fully man. Mary is only the mother of the flesh of Jesus.
Mat 1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.
- Notice fourteen is 7 + 7. So in verse 17 you have 6 sets of 7 before Jesus Christ shows up. The people reading this gospel would have followed the last generation and would have been the 7th seven.
- God uses the number 7. It is the number of completion.
MIRACLE BIRTH
Mat 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
- When it says “the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise” that simply means “it was this way”.
- Mary was only “espoused to Joseph”. They hadn’t “came together” sexually. There is no way Joseph could have been JESUS Christ’s father. It was a “miracle birth”.
- They were betrothed. Contracted for future marriage. In Deuteronomy 22:24 it shows that a woman betrothed to a man could be called a “wife” even though the weren’t actually “married” yet.
- During that time “she was found with child of the Holy Ghost”.
- Notice the Holy Spirit Himself telling you that “before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost”. That is the virgin birth. Joseph wasn’t his father.
Mat 1:19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
- Joseph was ignorant of what was going on at the time. He didn’t want to let this get out that she was with child because if she had committed adultery than she would be made a “publick example”. They would have taken her out and stoned her to death.
- So he is going to put her away PRIVILY or PRIVATELY.
Mat 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
- “while he thought on these things”. Since Joseph is a just man he is practicing Philippians 4:8 before it was written.
Php 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things
- Joseph is a “just man” because his thought life is where it needs to be.
2Co 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
- “the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream”. The Angel Gabriel appeared to Zacharias in Luke 1:19. He was sent to Mary in Luke 1:26-27.
- The “Angel of the LORD” in Matthew 1:20 is most likely another pre appearance of Jesus Christ.
- Throughout the Old Testament you see the Angel of the LORD appearing. For example he appeared to Hagar(Genesis 16:7-13), to Abraham (Genesis 22:11-18), to Jacob (Genesis 32:24-30) to Moses (Exodus 3:2-22), to Balaam (Numbers 22:22-35), to Joshua (Joshua 5:13-15), to Israel (Judges 2:1-5), to Gideon (Judges 6:11-24), to Samson’s parents (Judges 13:2-23) in the fiery furnace back in (Daniel 3:24-23).
- Jesus Christ is called “the Angel of God”.
Gal 4:14 And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.
- “the Angel of the LORD” means “an appearance of the LORD”.
- The Angel of the LORD is a pre appearance of JESUS CHRIST. Jesus Christ is how God appears visibly to man.
Joh 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
- “she shall bring forth a son”. This is the “only begotten son”(John 3:16). He is “the son of the highest”(Luke 1:32). The “firstborn” (Romans 8:29)
- Jesus Christ has two natures. The nature of man that he got from Mary and the nature of God from the Father.
Jesus Christ is my King because of his “Miracle Birth”. Also because of his…
Marvelous Name
- Matthew 1:21 says “and thou shalt call his name Jesus”.
- They were instructed on what to call him. If you want a “good name” than follow instructions from the word of God just like Joseph & Mary. Those are food names. You still know of people named Joseph & Mary.
Pro 22:1 A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.
- His name itself proves that he is God. Jesus means “Jehovah saves” or “God is salvation”. In Matthew 1:23 He is called “Emmanuel” and that means “GOD WITH US”.
Php 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
Php 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
- they didn’t know his name in the Old Testament. It was a secret. (Judges 13:18)
- But now you can have faith in his name (Acts 3:16)
- And “there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved”. (Acts 4:12)
- Jesus Christ has seven names before he is even born.
- The son of David (Matthew 1:1)
- The son of Abraham (Matthew 1:1)
- Jesus (Matthew 1:21)
- Emmanuel (Matthew 1:23)
- Son Of The Highest (Luke 1:32)
- Son Of God (Luke 1:35)
- Christ (Matthew 1:16)
- Someone’s ears may perk up when you say the name of their loved one, favorite athlete, or celebrity.
- As a Christian your ears should perk up when you hear His marvelous name.
Pro 30:4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?
Merciful Saviour
Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
- He is a King that would lay down his life for his people instead of them laying down their life for Him.
- “for He shall save his people from their sins”. “His people” is Israel here. However me and you got in on it eventually.
- Jesus Christ was completely sinless. This is the only way he could save us from our sins.
2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
1Pe 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
1Pe 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Heb 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
Heb 7:26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
Messianic Prophecies Fulfilled
Mat 1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
- No matter what happens, what anyone says, what people try to change, all the prophecies that God has laid out will come to pass.
- Jesus Christ fulfilled so many prophecies that there is no way he could be a phony or a coincidence.
2Pe 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
- We have a “sure word of prophecy.” All of the prophecies in the Bible are sure.
- This one in Matthew specifically has to do with the virgin birth.
Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
- Emmanuel means “God with us”. Once again the LORD’s name has to do with his deity. Jesus Christ is “GOD WITH US”.
There are 7 barren women in the Bible that picture Mary’s miracle birth:
1. Sarah (Gen 11:30)
2. Rebekah (Gen 25:21)
3. Rachel (Gen 29:31)
4. Manoah’s wife (Jud 13:2)
5. Hannah (1 Sam 1:2)
6. The Shunammite woman (2 Kin 4:14)
7. Elisabeth (Luke 1:7)
Maker Manifested In The Flesh.
- JESUS is my King because he is the only one who would have left the riches of the third heaven to be manifested in the flesh and die for my sins.
Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
- Mary is not the “mother of God”. She is simply the way by which the LORD used to come down to man in the flesh.
2Co 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich
- what king would come down to live as a servant and humble himself to the death of the cross?!
1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Php 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Php 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
Mat 1:24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
- Joseph would be a bible believer today. He believed the words that were spoken to him by the LORD and didn’t try to change them.
- He was “raised from sleep” and did what God told him to do.
- Just like you should do. Maybe you are in a spiritual sleep right now. You need to wake up and do what God wants you to do.
Rom 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
Mat 1:24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
Mat 1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
- Joseph waited before he would “know his wife”. So there was no doubt that Joseph wasn’t his father. They hadn’t even “came together” until after JESUS Christ was born.
- However, after he was born THEY DID COME TOGETHER.
- Contrary to what many teach, Mary didn’t stay a virgin forever! If she did than she defrauded Joseph and left him to burn in his lust their entire marriage. (1 Corinthians 7:5)
- Not to mention Jesus Christ has brothers and sisters! (Psalm 69:8, Mark 6:3, Galatians 1:19)
Job 15:14 What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
