Through Your Kids
If things work out like they mostly do than your kids are going to live on after you.
You live on through your kids. Your morals and habits shape their mind. If you live Godly and train them correctly than you will reap good things for it.
Pro 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Possibly even receive a crown for it.
Pro 17:6 Children’s children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.
So be sure to train them in the words of God. Equip them for spiritual warfare before you leave this world. That way when your gone they can defend themselves and live on many years serving God after your gone.
2Ti 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
Your children carry your name, many times your looks, and are a mini version of you. Through them you can live on.
Pro 22:1 A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.
Train your kids up in a way where they will be more likely to keep your last name good.
THROUGH YOUR VOICE
There have been saints who have died and went to heaven many years ago but they live on through their voice.
Mark 1:3 says John was “a voice of one crying in the wilderness”.
The words you say to people will live on forever. Preaching that wasn’t even recorded replays in my mind to this day.
Job 26:3 How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?
Job 26:4 To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?
Be sure that you are giving people the right words. Bad advice and counsel can also live on after death.
Ecc 10:12 The words of a wise man’s mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself.
God gave you a voice and it is a gift. Even if it isn’t a “nice” voice.
You can record your voice and it will live on after your dead. Many preachers have so many sermons recorded that the devil will never get rid of them.
Record your voice doing sermons, bible studies, reading the bible, or giving a testimony.
You never know where it might end up.
Through Your Writings.
God told the saints to write things down many times. You can keep a journal, write a commentary, write or tract, or anything to do with the LORD. Through these writings you can live on.
Isa 30:8 Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:
The LORD told John in Revelation to write the things he would be shown.
Rev 1:19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
Looking at this practically you can also write about the things the LORD has shown you.
You can write about things you have seen. Your past experiences and how the LORD helped you. You can write about how he is presently helping you.
You can write about “things which shall be hereafter” because you have the bible showing you what will happen.
You can write about things “hereafter” by writing to someone how you know your going to heaven when you die.
Right now you have a chance to do things that will cause you to live on after death.
Mark up a bible to pass down to your kids. Write a book.
Use this time wisely.
Eph 5:15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
Eph 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Col 4:5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
If you want your soul to live on after death and not face “the second death” than you need to believe on the LORD JESUS CHRIST!
He died on the cross, shed his blood, was buried, and rose again according to the scriptures.
